Poor indoor air quality can compromise health due to concentrations of allergens such as dust mites, VOCs, pollen and mold. Engineered ventilation continuously extracts moist, stale air from bathrooms and kitchens and supplies clean, tempered air to habitable rooms. Low velocity performance ensures that fresh, clean air does not create drafts.

Engineered Ventilation

Energy recovery ventilation (ERV) recovers the energy contained in normally exhausted building or space air and uses it to precondition incoming outdoor ventilation air in residential and commercial heating, cooling and ventilation (HVAC) systems. During the warmer seasons, the system pre-cools and dehumidifies. In cool seasons it humidifies and pre-heats. The benefits are improved indoor air quality and reduced energy consumption due to lower heating and cooling equipment and loads.

How HRV Systems Work

The CERV monitors both CO2 and Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) levels inside your home to determine when ventilation is necessary. Many gasses are undetectable to the human nose, yet can cause significant impairment to health, cognition, and sleep quality. Even though you can't smell them, the CERV can.
