Near Nature Passivhaus

This home stands at the base of a dramatic hillside dominated by a waterfall of granite boulders. The main common area of the interior is an open space featuring dramatic areas of glass at both the southeast and northwest corners.  The garage is sited to not shade south facing windows, and orients the garage doors so they are not visible from the street.  Exterior colors and materials are selected to blend with the natural, forested landscape and provide minimal maintenance needs with maximum fire resistance.

The video here was created during early, conceptual design stages of the project.   As the project matured in design, it was updated to pace with a complimentary level of representational accuracy for the design of interior spaces and refinements of the architectural detailing and materials.
